Work-life balance

Work-life balance is not just a catchphrase for us. Our working hours are flexible and anyone who wants to can work from home for part of the week. Employees who are parents of small children will appreciate the possibility of reduced working hours. And we are happy to meet them and their families at one of many other events for our employees, for example, during summer horse riding or winter ice skating.

Family-friendly code

During parental leave

  • Atlas Copco Baby Club – regular meetings and information about what is going on in the company
  • We stay in touch – employees can keep their work computer and active company email
  • Parental postnatal care – the other parent can spend the first two weeks after the birth with the family (be it an original, surrogate or rainbow family)

Coming back to work

  • Individual approach – together we adjust the future role and the number of working hours, the possibility of micro-employment and a gradual return to work
  • Balance between family and work life – reduced working hours - 37.5 hours per week, time flexibility and extended possibility of working from home
  • Support for childcare – for parents of children under the age of three, we pay school fees to a local children's group, or we contribute to other childcare options
  • Fair remuneration – changes in remuneration during parental leave are reflected in the salary upon returning to work

Other activities for families

  • Well-being – children's first aid courses, webinars, Open days and other company events
  • Relocation support – we provide legislative and practical support if employees move for work
  • Psychological, legal and financial counselling – free for employees and their family members

Atlas Copco helps

Water changes lives. Our employees realised this in 1984, when they founded the non-profit organisation Water for All, which has provided drinking water to almost 2 million people and operates in more than 50 countries. It is financed by the voluntary financial contributions of our employees, which we always double.

In addition, we also support a number of local organisations and projects, for example in the form of volunteering. We know very well that we can help not only with money, but also by offering our own efforts where needed. We cooperate with the Krtek Children's Oncology Foundation, the Adra organisation, the League of Wheelchair Users and the Emil Foundation.
