SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER EQUIPMENT - maternity leave cover

Why we need this role?

The Supply Chain Manager is part of the Customer Centre Europe NE management team and will work closely together with BLMs, Sales Managers, Customer Care and Production Companies in the Vacuum Technique Business Area. A key responsibility of the Supply Chain Manager is the operation of the Industrial and Scientific equipment supply chain for all EMEA Customer Centers, to establish a world leading positioning for the Edwards brand in the region, with the vision to be “First in mind, First in Choice” and ensure that Atlas Copco’s “Business Code of Practice” is followed.

This role is a cover for maternity leave. Contract will be fixed - about 12 months.

What will you do?

  • Develop and implement improvements for the supply chain infrastructure that enables achievement of business, operational and financial goals for the new GV equipment business in EMEA
  • Implement supply chain strategies that maximize customer value and achieve a sustainable competitive advantage within agreed operating costs.
  • Control new GV equipment management in the region (distribution inventory, Sales Consignment, L&E) and configure stock levels to support company’s net working capital and maximize customer service levels.
  • Lead GV inventory optimization in the region, including taking on a key role in the risk management processes (cancellation, deferral, commit order, risk build etc.) and excess stock management.
  • Accountable for inbound freight set up for GV inventory to EMEA to balance Lead Time reliability of Product Company and to support business requirements.
  • Define supply chain strategy to ensure delivery lead times are at the regions’ competitive level at the lowest supply chain costs.
  • Interact/Working closely together with EMEA Sales Managers and Business Line Managers to ensure that the Vacuum Technique Business Area has a homogeneous approach to the market with the aim to achieve our ambitious targets.
  • Drive proactive management of sales CRM product forecast and review regions supply requirements with Sales Managers, communicate the regions’ supply needs to the Product Companies.

What do you need for this role?

Experience:

  • At least 5+ years of experience in managerial position in corporate manufacturing company, previous operational experience in Supply chain, proven track record of delivering results in logistics/supply chain management and sound business knowledge and financial acumen

Skills / Knowledge:

  • University degree in Commercial / Engineering or similar technical discipline
  • Knowledge of vacuum technology is highly desirable
  • Experience in demand planning or/and logistics processes from order entry to customer delivery
  • Excellent computer skills (SAP ERP and CRM systems, and MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Fluent communication in English (both written and spoken), Czech and other languages as advantage
